Maybe the best Al pastor I've had anywhere in NYC. And very generous portions. The waitresses are very nice.
Used to come here multiple times a month! We would bring Asian friends who'd never had tacos or burritos here for the large variety and budget prices! Love Tulcingo so much and hope to visit again in the future.
I stumbled upon this place because my first choice, Pollo Peruano, did not have indoor seating set up. The first thing I noticed was it's spaciousness and cleanliness. The waitress was very courteous, attentive and helpful. We ordered steak, pork and chicken tacos, an order of French fries and a blackberry shake (jugo de mora en leche). All of the tacos were delicious! By far, one of the best taco places I've eaten at. However, the French fries weren't cooked enough and the blackberry shake wasn't chilled, which lessened how refreshing it usually is. Everywhere else I've eaten at, the juices are made chilled. Nevertheless, the pricing was good, the workers were friendly, and I would definitely go back to eat there again.
Find yourself in the Corona area seeking Mexican cuisine, I recommend you try this restaurant. Tucingo serves authentic Mexican dishes, including tacos, soups and more. The place is currently under renovation, looks like they are downsizing, but still has a good size sitting area. The food and sauces are delicious.
My friend's Mexican mom's love this spot because on weekends they make special food. I tried it a couple of times and didn't understand the hype. But you have to know what you like and what to order. As much as I love steak tacos , I wasn't a fan of the ones here. But I do eat the chicken burritos probs everyday for lunch.
This is an authentic Mexican dining experience. The food is pure Mexican with very little outside influences. The waitresses speak little English. The patrons are almost entirely Latino and Mexican. The background music is heavy on the Rancheros and Boleros. If you are in the mood for this type of environment, Tulcingo is the perfect place. There are plenty of options, and the food is fantastic. Plus, the prices are as low as possible in New York City.
